Next to the successful 12.9L MX, the 4,5L PX-5 and the 6,7L PX-7 engines PACCAR has introduced the 10.8L MX-11 engine with outputs ranging from 210 kW to 330 kW. Development drivers were compact design, low weight, low fuel consumption, low noise, large output range, high braking power, market leading durability/reliability and synergy with the MX-13 on the fuel system, engine management and after treatment system. The state-of-the-art engine design features double overhead camshafts, rigid block innovative geartrain allowing optimal Common Rail pump integration and integration of functions oil module, fuel module, valve cover function frame. The engine will be applied in the CF as well as the XF series offering customers a benefit of up to 3% in fuel economy over the efficient MX-13 engine and 180 kg of weight advantage. Specific rating will be available for distribution and haulage applications.
