In order to confirm the basic properties of a short fiber reinforced concrete, it tested about the influence of the short fiber given to both flowability and hardness. As a result, when the short fiber increased, flowability got worse, and bending coverage became good. This tendency was more remarkable for PVA fiber than for PP fiber. Moreover, in order to apply the short fiber reinforced concrete to the railway roadbed, mix proportion of the short fiber reinforced concrete which used the expansion materials and the shrinkage reduction agent was designed, and the railway roadbed 60m in length was constructed in a tentative way. As the result, sufficient the placing performance and the shrinkage control effect were confirmed.
