In this paper, the air voids ot porous asphalt mixture are as study object. Comparing the standard Marshall specimens scanned by CT (computed tomography), three air void models for porous asphalt mixture which were equilateral triangle, square and regular hexagon were provided using the Particle Flow Code(PFC2D) based on Discrete Element Method(DEM). Then different particles contacts were specified, contact forces between particles composing air void models and the deformation characteristics of air void under different loadings were analyzed. The results indicate that the deformation and contact forces distribution for the three air void models after loadings were of symmetry; For the equilateral triangle and square air void models, the relationship curves between particles displacements and loadings were approximatively linear; For the regular hexagon air void model, the relationship curve between particles displacements and loadings was approximatively quadratic curve.
