Septic shock is a syndrome, which is characterized by a harmful systemic inflammatory response toinfectious agents. The aim of this study was to clarify the influence of flavonoid compounds on the survival ofBALB/c mice in an animal model of septic shock. Septic shock was reproduced with lipopolysaccharide (LPS)and D-galactosamine. Before the induction of septic shock mice were injected intraperitoneally with theflavonoid compaunds. We have shown, that flavonoids have a significant protective effect against LPS-, Dgalactosamine-induced septic shock.
