Animal domestication in the Neolithic cultures of the south-west part of European U.S.S.R.

My aim in this paper is to present analyses of the animal bone material from a number of early prehistoric sites in the south-western part of the U.S.S.R., since these are only rarely available to research workers in this country (Figs. 4 and 5); I have also tried to indicate their archaeological context (Figs. r and 2). I have not attempted, however, to put forward or support any claims for early independent domestication of any animals.
