The chemical and phase-structural transformations were researched uponobtaining intermetallic compounds of metals of IV and VIII groups using hydrides oftitanium and zirconium. The possibility of alloys and IMC obtaining was demonstrated.The ability of obtained compact alloys and IMC to hydrogenation in combustionregime (SHS) forming the IMC hydrides was established.
