In-Situ Test Measurement Techniques Within Railway Track Structures

Pressures and deflections at critical interfaces within the railroad track structure were successfully measured. Geokon earth pressure cells and the Tekscan Pressure Distribution System provide methods for direct measurements of pressures within both the trackbed and track. Track deflection measurements were successfully obtained using Linear Variable Displacement Transducers.
