More Time Left for Lecture: The GoToClass Automated Attendance-taking Application

摘要

In a world of technology while access to digital content is so effortlessly, it is archaic to take attendance in a conventional way. The goal of this paper is to introduce the design and implementation of a secure and practical attendance taking tool GoToClass to be used in a College setting. The feasibility of our tool measured w.r.t. time, location, and success rate are promising, supported by the outperforming comparison to such similar attendance taking tools. Moreover, we employ additional technology such as face recognition software and authentication to provide a comprehensive and reliable service.
