Performance of visual inspection tasks are generally measured by speed and accuracy. When tasks factors such as pacing and target complexity are varied, the performance of the individual is expected to change. This study looks at a simulated inspection task and three pacing levels: machine, self and non-paced, and at two levels of target complexity: complex and less complex. The results of this study will enable the setup of an optimal pacing level for the complexity of a target.
