A novel two-stage liquid desiccant dehumidification system using CaCl2 and LiCl solution separately is studied for increasing dehumidification performance and lower desiccant solution investment. Process air is pre-dehumidified by CaCl? in the first stage dehumidifier, and further dehumidified in the second stage dehumidif ier by LiCl. Large desiccant concentration variance is achieved in this system. Thermal COP and exergy efficiency is calculated for the proposed system compared with dehumidification system using cost effective liquid desiccant (CELD) proposed by Ertas.
