Survey of Recently Installed Dry FGD Systems

摘要

This paper presents results from an ongoing EPRI project investigating the current status of dry and semi-dry FGD as applied to coal-fired units in the U.S. Technologies investigated include spray dryers, circulating fluid beds, and advanced designs. The project is developing a list of dry/semi-dry FGD technologies that have recently been installed on U.S. coal-fired generating units. The study is intended to document operating experience and performance on systems in operation in the U.S. through a series of literature surveys and site visits. This paper presents a summary of the results collected to date.
