Cloud Service and APP for Drug-Herb Interaction

摘要

Herb-drug interaction is one special kind of drug interactions between herb medicines and conventional drugs. In the East Asia, the herb medicines have been used several thousands of years. However, many people may mix using the herbs and the drugs. Sometimes, the mix used is dangerous. In this study, we have established a cloud database of herb-drug interactions including common danger information and helpful suggestions. On the front page of our cloud database, users can simply enter the key words such as the herb name or the drug name/international classification code to access the relative information. Doctors and pharmacists can also use this database enquiry system on a daily basis to find out whether their patients have any herb-drug interactions problems. This can ultimately improve the overall drug safety for patients. Furthermore, our system comes with a mobile application (APP) to provide more accessibility.
