Exact expressions presented for lift and drag coefficients for bodies (e.g. wings/fuselages/nacelles etc) in compressible flow. Formulations are based on kinematic quantities only (velocity and vorticity but not pressure), integrated over surfaces in the flow field. The effect of vorticity on lift and drag is explicit. Test cases have been evaluated including inviscid and viscous three-dimensional flows over wings and wing/body combinations.
