A Study of The Relationships Between Inclusion Morphology And Reduction Ratio For Bar Products

This paper utilizes quantitative metallographic methods to study the morphology of the inclusions from samples that have various hot reduction ratios. A set of parameters is used to define the morphology of the inclusion and the relationships between the inclusion morphology and reduction ratios are discussed. These parameters may be used to define the new minimum reduction requirements for bar products produced from continuous casting in concerned applications.
