摘要

The thin-wall-wide pier is a special structural style of Wuhan TianXingZhou Bridge's infrastructure. Because of the shrinkage disaccord and the rigid connection between the pier and the footing, it's easy to produce the vertical impenetrating cracks in the lower part of the piers during the process of the construction. In this paper, FEM is used for acquiring the temperature-stress distribution in the earlier period of the casting and clarifying the cracking mechanism inside this kind of pier.
