Coordinating ordering decision in supply chain with different dominators

Consider a supply chain model which consists of a manufacturer, a retailer, and a discounter; this supply chain sells a single product to the customers over two stages in a short selling season. This supply chain model can be manufacturer dominant or retailer dominant, their mechanisms of coordination by contracts are discussed respectively. In manufacturer dominant model, the return policy and markdown allowance policy are applied for coordination. In retailer dominant model, two markdown allowance policies are applied. At last, the profit in the two conditions is discussed through numerical case. Results indicate the whole supply chain profit is same by coordinating with contracts in different dominant model. But the comparison shows that the allocation of profits is different. Dominant-member might get more profits when it dominates the supply chain. The higher the reservation value of discounter is, the less the profit of dominant-member is.
