Defining Engineering Management by the Content of the Master's Degree

摘要

Two engineering societies have developed bodies of knowledge for engineering management as a basis for certification programs in engineering management. This paper looks at the topics in the core of the larger engineering management academic programs at the master's level and ranks these topics based on two different metrics. Based on this analysis, conclusions on what topics constitute the academic view of the engineering management body of knowledge are developed.
