摘要

In order to share a cybersecurity curriculum model for today's public- and private-sector managers, this paper emphasizes two very important subjects for ensuring continuous improvement and innovation in teaching. First, the author offers foundational background about the increasingly important field of cybersecurity. This subject area is constantly changing as a result of new cyber threats to the global public and private sectors. Because new threats appear daily, higher education programs and courses in this discipline are difficult to keep current and need to be continually updated in order to be relevant to technologists, policy-makers, managers and strategists. Second, with this basic knowledge about the cybersecurity field, a competency-based model of curriculum development is then discussed to provide the reader with a framework for designing and redesigning curriculum in this shifting cybersecurity environment.
