摘要

The study investigated developing learning and teaching, training teachers in rural Nigeria usingmobile technology. The sample comprised of 1,200 in-service training teachers purposively drawnfrom the National Teacher Institute (NTI) Kaduna offering teacher education programme in Kadunastate respectively. Data were collected using a questionnaire whereas mean and t-test statistics wereused to analyse the data. The result of the study showed that the mobile technology can be aneffective mode for teacher training as it has great impact on the classroom improvement andenhances the self-image, confidence, motivation, and professionalism of teachers. Based on thefindings, it was recommended among others that government should procure ICT facilities to aidteaching and government should improve the orientation programme by providing more effectivetraining on the use of phone features.
