摘要

Currently, professors at Mexican public universities show a lack of understanding of the use andexploitation of Web 2.0 tools in order to consolidate their teaching-learning methods. This situation isderived from professors who do not have a clear idea of how these technologies can help to createcommunities that reinforce their teaching and research activities. The impact of this situation isreflected in student learning, and also in the productivity that as researchers, professors should have.Because of this, the aim of this paper is to categorize the Web 2.0 tools that support collaborativelearning. This research begins with an analysis of the Web 2.0 tools that the world’s mostdistinguished universities have been using as a way to generate and share knowledge. In the sameway, a usability-based value proposition is presented. This proposition aims to simplify the use ofinformation and knowledge and be a means to trigger the use of these tools among professors.
