Digital storytelling has educational potential, in particular in terms of language acquisition. In Taiwan,most students do not have the opportunity to improve their oral performance in English due to thetradition pedagogy focusing in reading and writing. This study adopted the qualitative approach toinvestigate an English class with digital storytelling. The results showed that four types of issues:technology, communication, instruction and motivation, could influence applying digital storytelling intocourse design. The practical strategies can be advised for improvement, including technologyselection, objective clarification, instructional development, reinforcement incentives.
