(1106)HOW TO INCLUDE EMPLOYMENT TRANSVERSAL COMPETENCESIN THE ACADEMIC CURRICULA. A PRACTICAL EXPERIENCE

We are a group of experts doing research in psychology, pedagogy and labour market who hasworked together for several years in the University of Alcala. Our main aim is to help students to havea better professional and personal development. Furthermore, we are in permanent contact withenterprises, employees, professors and other members of academic staff. And, we have alsodeveloped several researches related with labour market, the incorporation of our students andgraduates to this market plus their personal and academic development in the University.Considering all these aspects we have decided to design a subject where we can integrate all theresults which have been obtained as well as our knowledge and experiences. Assessment, acontinuous and global process in our project, is essential in this research as it can benefit the threemain aspects of orientation: academic, personal and professional. We try to help students to acquirebasic competences and to do the follow up of his/her professional development.This subject was addressed to students in their first year of Pharmacy Studies and was developedduring four months, then, the subject was offered as a transversal activity, in the academic year 2010-11.In this contribution, we present the design of the subject, some results of students’ works, and the finalevaluation.
