This study surveyed students’ opinions of their learning experiences using a classroom assessmenttechnique called “i-clickers”. This electronic student response system was used in an undergraduatenursing course in a Northeastern urban area. Informed consent was obtained. A 9-item Likert scalewith two open-ended survey items was adapted from a previous study (Meedzaan, 2009) and wasdistributed to students after they had participated in two lectures with the use of PowerPoint slides andNCLEX-style questions. The response rate was 100%. Results of the survey showed that all thestudents either agreed or strongly agreed that the experience was positive and enjoyable. Furtherinvestigation of the use of clickers at this institution’s nursing program is warranted as this study wasdone on a small scale. It is recommended that clickers be assessed by this facility on a larger scale tofind out if the experience remains a positive one.
