The analysis and measurements of spot focusing lens antenna resolution

The sizes of the focal area focused by spot focusing lens antenna and its landscape orientation spatial resolution are analyzed in virtue of wave theory in the paper. Relations between the characteristic of the spot focusing lens antenna at convergence region and the characteristic of the plane caliber antenna which has the same field distributing at infinite region are obtained. The method of the lens antenna spatial resolution measurement is brought forward. The results accord with the theory calculations.
