摘要

Introduction: For spinal surgery navigational system images are usually acquired before surgery with patients positioned supine. Registration of pre-op-erative images for navigation is comparably time consuming and has to be carried out point-to-point for each vertebral body leaving a substantial risk of inaccurate screw placement due to prone positioning of the patient or difficulties to perform sufficient intraoperative control fluoroscopy, especially in cervicothoracic stabilization procedures. The aim of this study was to evaluate prospectively feasibility and workflow of navigated stabilization procedures in spinal surgery with data acquisition by intraoperative computed tomography (iCT) before or during the operative procedure. The CT-scanner was installed within a preexisting operating room.
