Managing Institute Publications Using Open Source Tools: Practical Lessons in Using Open Journal Systems for IUCAA Publications

The paper describes the initiative undertaken by the library and publica-tions departments regarding implementation of Open Journal Systems (OJS), an opensource journal management and publication system, developed by the Public Knowl-edge Project (PKP), for IUCAA publications, namely the Annual Report and Khagol,IUCAA's quarterly bulletin. The customizing of OJS and efforts in ensuring access andretrieval are also described.
