To find (1) the incidence of neck and back pain, (2) the relationship between computer use and neck and back pain, and (3) effect of a type of computer input device, school performance and extracurricular activity among high-school students. A structured questionnaire survey was used to obtain information from senior group. The incidence of neck or/and back pain was 53.8%. Girls with pain were more than boys. VAS score of girls was higher than that of boys. The correlation between neck/back pain and time of computer use daily was no significant, but many responders complained neck or back discomfort during exposure to computer.
