Preservation of Fertility with Cryopreservatlon and Transplantation

To investigate the prospects for consistently restoring fertility and long-term hormonal function in women with premature ovarian failure (POF) by ovary transplantation using microvascular anastomosis as compared to simple grafting of ovarian cortical tissue, and to validate the concept of preserving fertility by ovarian freezing.A series of 8 (out of 10) monozygotic (MZ) twin sisters discordant for premature ovarian failure (POF) underwent ovarian transplantation, either with cortical grafting, or with microvascular anastomosis.
