Maintaining Railway Operational Requirements in the Context of the GSM-R User Interface Capacity

The main purpose of the article is to answer the question about meeting the operational requirements of the railway through the GSM-R cellular communication system. The first part presents the basic features of the radio interface (subscriber access) to GSM-R. Next has been carried out an analysis of selected railway interoperability requirements of the CCS TSI. In the main part, the theory of telecommunications traffic was used to calculate the probability of call blocking in the area of generic cell in the network. The article ends with summaries and conclusions from the analysis.
