Support for spatial perception and telepresence in facility supervising, remote maintenance and training

摘要

This article describes a concept of interaction for facility supervision and training. It supports the spatial perception of a user and gives an improved sense of telepresence. This is achieved without the use of "stereo glasses" and the related effort of image processing. The concept rather utilises subconscious perceptional cues of the user, which he develops during his movements about his position and orientation relative to the environment.
