Introduction to the New IEC 61400-12-1 Power Performance Measurement Standard - (PPT)

The IEC TC88 has recently ratified the IEC 61400- 12- 1 power performance measurement procedure, replacing the IEC 61400- 12 standard. - 12- 1 adds most of the requirements in the MEASNET power performance measurement procedure. This procedure is significantly different in several area and should result in lower measurement uncertainty. Developers should be aware of these changes as they may necessitate different logistical requirements to support testing and new warranty agreements will soon reference this new standard.
