It was reported that the ordered fct Fe{sub}3Pt alloy thin films fabricated onto MgO single crystal substrates exhibited the giant magnetic anisotropy constants of K{sub}1 and K{sub}2 of the order of 10{sup}6erg/cc and 10{sup}7erg/cc, respectively at room temperature. [1,2] The present paper describes the temperature dependence of the magnetic anisotropy constants and discusses the origin of such large magnetic anisotropy.
