Ferromagnetic Resonance Characterization of the Nanoislands Fe/MgO (001) Films

Different aspects of the structure-magnetism and morphology-magnetism correlation in islands like Fe/MgO(100) films are the object of considerable interest. The magnetooptic Kerr effect (MOKE), atomic force microscopy (AFM), scanning tunneling microscopy (STM) and SQUID magnetometry techniques were used for characterization of magnetic parameters, hysterezis lopes and morphology of the nanoislands Fe/MgO films[1-5]. However, the correlation between ferromagnetic resonance (FMR) properties and morphology of the nanoislands Fe/MgO films haven't been discussed to our knowledge. The purpose of this work is to report about our investigation of the magnetic parameters of the nanoislands Fe/MgO(100) films by means of FMR, AFM, MOKE and magnetic force microscopy (MFM) techniques.
