There is a strong trend to increase the level of integration for automotive electronics in modern cars. SOI-technology offers the advantage of integrating both high-voltage devices and low-voltage circuitry on the same chip. This chapter describes both academic research and industrial SOI-processes in the field of high-voltage SOI devices for automotive applications.
