DRY ICE BLASTING AND LASER FOR CLEANING, PROCESS OPTIMIZATION AND APPLICATION

In recent years cleaning has become more and more important for production. Manufacturing, maintenance, and recycling are not possible without cleaning processes. Today almost all branches of industry use cleaning technologies. However, some are a potential hazard for the human health and the environment. The Institute for Machine Tools and Factory Management at the Technical University Berlin develops futureorientated, eco-efficient cleaning technologies for hard surfaces and cooperates with companies to integrate these technologies into the process chains of production, maintenance and recycling. This paper presents system developments, customized process optimizations and fundamental research of dry ice blasting and laser cleaning.
