摘要

A mathematical model of formation of the cross-sectional wall thickness non-uniformity in the process of plugless tube rolling with application of tension and contact friction is proposed. The model accounts for the effect of the roll pass profile, mother tube diameter reduction, mechanical properties (yield strength, hardening) of the material being worked, tension and contact friction upon the pattern of variation of the wall thickness across the tube perimeter. Calculation results and their comparison with experimental data are presented in the paper. Reasonable agreement of the comparison was observed.
