摘要

There is only qualitative analysis for the setting criterion of pedestrian twice cross street, and no quantitative analysis in the past. This article puts forward the unsignalized pedestrian crossing delay model based on safety consideration. Taking the situation when pedestrian delay is less than his extreme endurance time as the criterion, the maximal permitted vehicle volume for once cross and twice cross can be got if the width of road and pedestrian volume are definite. It is the range of vehicle volume set for pedestrian twice cross street. The result can be used in traffic design so as to ensure pedestrian safety and embody the principle of "human-oriented".
