Observing Procedures at Millimeter and Sub-millimeterWavelengths: Imaging an Astronomical Object

This lecture is an introduction to radio imaging at millimeterand sub-millimeter wavelengths. The emission from interstellar sources and theabsorption by the Earth's atmosphere are briefly discussed. The basic conceptsof instrumental transfer function, visibility, noise and image deconvolution arepresented.
