Statistical signal processing has been one of the key technologies in the development of wireless communication systems in recent years, especially for broadband communication systems which severely suffer from Intersymbol Interference (FSI). Interest in blind equalization has grown for mitigation of ISI due to the fact that in some communication systems, the transmission of training sequence is not physically feasible. In this paper, a blind channel equalization (BCE) technique based on Constant Modulus Algorithm (CMA) with variable step size is proposed. The proposed technique can accomplish blind equalization, achieve improved stability and robustness with low computational complexity. Computer simulation results indicate very attractive behavior of the proposed technique.
