Tennis strings are available commercially, but the performance is just described qualitatively through functional feeling tests, not quantitatively. In this study, typical strings, such as natural string, nylon mono-filament string and polyester monofilament string, are tested to obtain dynamic friction characteristics with tennis ball during impact.
