Photoelastic Investigation of Thermal Stresses in the Horn of an Ultrasonic Machine

Both the stress wave and thermal stresses, generated by the incidence of ultrasonic wave on the three types of horns, i.e. strip, trapezoid and step, generally used in an ultrasonic machine, were investigated in this paper by using the digital photoelasticity.
