Solomon Associates (Solomon) has been conducting comparative performance analysis (CPA, or benchmarking) of the refining, petrochemical, and related industries for the past 25 years. Our Worldwide Olefin Plant Performance Analysis (Olefin Study) began in 1987, and we recently completed our eleventh Olefin Study, for operating year 2005. The 2005 Olefin Study included an optional Energy Addendum Study, which explored the energy-related issues of operating, monitoring, and maintaining olefin plant equipment.
