摘要

The objective of this work is to evaluate a new concept of pulsed column. This device could enhance the efficiency and the possible operating domain in solid-liquid operations. In order to focus on the intensification of this unit operation, an example is highlighted: the solid-liquid extraction of pharmaceutical principle from a Thai plant. The column is described and the solid flow rate and its behaviour is characterized through a Residence Time Distribution study, including bimodal population. The results shows that an optimal tuning of the operating conditions could ameliorate in some cases the functioning and the efficiency of the column compared with classical apparatus in term of total solvent volume or operation time.
