摘要

Acidity is the most important parameter in liquid analysis and control. The pH scale has become popular with the discovery of pH glass electrode and the invention of commercially successful electronic pH meter in 1934 by Prof. Arnold O. Beckman. pH glass electrode is still the most widely used pH sensor in various industries for process control. ISFET, however, is emerging as the new sensing technology in specific applications. The instrumentation of pH measurement has passed the electronic tube era, through the revolution of semiconductor electronics. Today, the pH sensor is much more robust and accurate. With built-in intelligence of the instrument, the pH measurement also has become easier and more reliable.
