Heck vinylation of various aryl halides with methyl aerylate,by either Pd(II),Ru (III),and Pt (IV) complexes immobilized on quinoline-2-carboimine functionalized FSM-16 (Pd-2QC,Ru-2QC,Pt-2QC) or Pd,Ru and Pt chlorides impregnated on the same support (Pd-FSM,Ru-FSM,Pt-FSM) has been performed.The catalysts exhibit high activity and selectivity towards Heck vinylation of aryl halides with methyl aerylate,even at low concentrations of metals.Pd-2QC catalysts showed excellent catalytic activity for Heck reaction of various aryl halides among the catalysts.The leaching was negligible in the case of Pd(II),Ru(III),and Pt(IV) complexes immobilized on quinoline-2-carboimine functionalized FSM-16,and recyclable without a significant loss of activities.However,metal species impregnated onto FSM-16 were leached to the solution.
