PETRONAS recognizes the importance of data as one of its critical assets and has been investing substantial efforts in building up Data Management Systems for the entire subsurface E&P spectrum covering: 1. Geophysic domain 2. Petrophysic domain 3. Production domain 4. Drilling domain 5. Asset domain The role of managing production sharing (PS) contractors' performance as the main function of PETRONAS' Petroleum Management Unit (PMU) poses challenges for Production Operations and Surveillance (POS) engineers to efficiently perform technical reviews and monitor performance of the fields across all Malaysian PS Contract areas. In order to address these challenges, PMU has embarked on an Integrated Production Surveillance and Reservoir Management project to implement a system that integrate cross-domain data into end users engineering software with a pre-defined surveillance workflow, processes, procedures and techniques. The objective is to provide POS engineers with the required data and workflow templates at their fingertips to enable them to make quick analysis, hence, accurate decisions. IPSRM implementation consists of two components. The first component involves the building of the Data Hub by the Data Management team to consolidate cross-domain data from PSC Operators. The second component is the setting up of the workflow and technique templates in the engineering software with online interface with the Data Hub. The first part of this paper will describe the concept and approach of the Data Hub and how the Data Hub serves as the foundation to the workflow and techniques set up in the end users engineering software. The second part will describe the workflow templates as part of the end users engineering tools. It describes and defines the surveillance workflow and requirements for PMU in managing PS Contractors' performance. A unique hybrid Petroleum Engineering tool that combines parametric, user-driven and data driven analysis capabilities has been introduced to allow full surveillance capability.
