Without acceptance by the participants any new process is doomed to failure. To be accepted several factors must be present. The first and foremost factor is profit. The one constant in business is the continuing struggle to make a profit. Along these lines the construction industry has spawned several initiatives. One of the newest is Commissioning. Another not so new concept is Partnering. If you drill deep enough, profit has been promised as the product of both. This paper will discuss how, by marrying the two ideologies through actual project experience, the bottom line and final product of any project can be improved.
