As we look to the future of metrology, a key reason to "make the case" for the discipline will be to reach out to a new generation of Metrologists who can continue the knowledge and technical expertise held - and potentially lost - through retiring members of the field and who can bring innovation and new ideas. This session and paper will look to those who are currently reaching out to potential new recruits - our Metrology Ambassadors. A panel of Metrology Ambassadors will speak about their successes and challenges experienced in their outreach and answer questions about the program, share their best practices, and give suggestions for future improvements to outreach opportunities. How did they become inspired and involved? Why is this Metrology career education outreach important? What materials do they use at outreach events and what are those events like? Who should be a Metrology Ambassador? These and other questions will be explored in this paper and panel session. This will be an interactive learning opportunity that will take advantage of the experience of some of our best advocates.
