Competitive Strategy: A Business Eco-system Perspective

With the development of Internet Economy, Knowledge-based Economy and global competition, uncertain dynamic environment become the basic background of discussing and analyzing national/regional/corporation competitive strategy. Strategic management is concerned with how to reduce the risk in a dynamic market, when and how to match the decision-making with chance-windows, how to quickly seize the opportunity and change the competitive situation, and whether or not there is a general framework to follow when an uncertain dynamic competition is coming up. Based on analyzing traditional framework of competitive strategy and building above business ecosystems study, this paper presented a general framework of analyzing competitive strategy in dynamic infinite competitive environment. Identifying value notion and key driven factor is the core of the new model and also it is the precondition to form a business ecosystem. Successful business ecosystem relies on the mechanism of value-creating and value-shared, encourages support, driven factors and the entry of assistant driven factors. Hardcore firms of the system have to regroup and rebuild the members according to the change of value notion and the shift of key driven factor.
