Nanostructured organic-inorganic hybrid materials with tunable properties and well-defined multi-dimensional architectures have progressively become important, due to their possible applications in optics, electronics, engineering, and biosciences.Recently much interest has been paid to specific intermolecular interactions, such as hydrogen-bonding, acid-base interactions, and oppositely charged ionic interactions to prepare self-organized advanced materials. The interaction of charged polymers with oppositely charged colloids, such as polyelectrolytes plus colloids, is found in many areas of science involving biochemistry, biology, and environmental chemistry.
